“As soon as you take one step up the career ladder, your effectiveness depends on your ability to communicate your thoughts in writing and in speaking.” Peter Drucker (1909-2005)
Today, being able to write clearly is the key to personal and professional development. At Write to the Point, we will help anyone to improve their writing. We do not use off-the-shelf courses or buy courses from third parties and can customise our courses to meet your specific needs.
Communicating through Writing
This course is the foundation of all our courses and consists of six modules that cover the key principles of effective written communication.
Critical Thinking and Writing
The key to communicating effectively is to think critically. We developed this course because writing is the best way to develop critical thinking.
Basic Communications Skills
This course covers the basics of writing in English and is aimed at second-language speakers who want to gain confidence in their writing abilities.
Cramming heads with theory is not our style because the best way to learn to write is to write! We guarantee improved writing skills within three months.
Our courses are light on theory and loaded with practice. We use a combination of individual and group activities to refine the core skills presented in the workshops, making the course interactive, engaging and transformative. Participants develop their writing skills effortlessly through the discussions and the activities. The courses consist of easily digestible modules, with ongoing review and coaching through the Writing Practice. Our modules are ideally delivered in a workshop setting but are also available via the Internet/Skype.
What makes us different?
- We encourage you to develop your writing skills rather than ‘give you answers’.
- We focus on the structure and flow of your document, not only on the content.
- We combine face-to-face (classroom) with online support so that you learn effectively.
The Write to the Point approach
At Write to the Point, we understand that learning is about developing people. Learning to communicate effectively through the written word involves planning, thinking, communicating, exercising judgment, translating (if a second-language speaker) and making decisions. Our programmes are designed to develop critical thinkers and writers, not to deliver instruction. Read more …
